Nafplio, located at the cove of Argolikos Gulf, is one of the most beautiful cities in Greece. Castles, narrow streets with colorful impressive neoclassical buildings and magnificent squares that hide all the secrets of Modern Greek history. Welcome to Nafplio!

Nafplion is the capital of the prefecture of Argolida. Ηas many historical monuments, Palamidi to dominate the top of the town, and the famous Mpourtzi on the islet. The old city of Nafplio lies on a small rocky peninsula. To the north is bounded by the coast Miaoulis while at the North climbs up until the imposing Akronafplia castle.

Walk the narrow streets and select Syntagma Square with the perennial tree to enjoy your coffee. The Venetian scene reminds a typical Italian 'piazza'. The pedestrian street Arvanitias is ideal for romantic walks and a swim in the crystal clear waters of the beach. Must-visit of the city are the two castles. The breathtaking view from Akronafplia to the old town and the sea with the Bourtzi Fort will keep you hooked.

The climate, with hot Mediterranean summer, many sunny days and mild winter, just two hours from the capital makes it ideal for short excursions from Athens and other nearby cities. Eminently weekend destination for Athenians, Nafplio provides amenities to suit all budgets! Here the “Komboloi” have a tradition and a wide variety of handcrafted designs.
