Milos is located in the southwestern part of the Cyclades, near the islands of Kimolos, Sifnos and Folegandros. The island occupies an area of ​​151 km2 and holds a coastline of 125 km. Milos is world famous for the statue of Venus which is now exhibited in the Louvre in Paris. The island's capital is Plaka (also known as Chora) which is built on a hill of 220 meters above sea level, with spectacular views over the bay of Milos.
