Cobbled streets, two-storey mansions and stony squares are the dominant features of the Pelion villages worth admiring. In Milies, you can see the manual rotation of the engine of the Mountzouris train and the narrow railway track.

The region hosts notable Byzantine monuments such as the Monastery of Pammegiston Taxiarchon (Archangels) in Central Pelion. The monastery was founded in the 12th century and offers to the visitors a panoramic view of Pagassitikos bay.

The most significant museums are the  Folklore Museum of Makrinitsa housed at Topalis mansion and the Library of Milies that hosts more than 1,600 books!
